This policy explains how Polycard collects and uses your data. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Who we are
Polycard is developed by Nikodem Dabski, based in Luzern, Switzerland. For any privacy-related questions, contact contact@nikodemdabski.com.
What we collect
When you sign up for the beta waitlist, we collect your email address. That's it. We do not collect your name, location, IP address, or any other personal data through this website.
Why we collect it
We use your email address solely to notify you about Polycard beta availability and product updates. We will not send marketing emails unrelated to Polycard.
Legal basis
We process your email address based on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Swiss nDSG Article 6(6)(a)). You give consent by submitting the signup form. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
Who processes your data
Your email address is stored and processed by Buttondown, Inc., a US-based email service provider. Buttondown acts as a data processor on our behalf. Data transfers from the EU/Switzerland to the US are covered by Buttondown's Data Processing Agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. No data is collected from your browsing activity.
How long we keep your data
We retain your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Once removed, your data is permanently deleted from our mailing list.
Your rights
Under GDPR, Swiss nDSG, and CCPA, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, or by contacting us directly
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority (in Switzerland: FDPIC)
The simplest way to stop receiving emails is to click the unsubscribe link included in every email we send. For any other requests, email contact@nikodemdabski.com from the same address you subscribed with so we can verify your identity. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. For significant changes, we will notify subscribers by email.
